James Charette founded Wembley Soccer Academy and soon after opened Wembley Soccer Shop with a partner. He sold the Wembley Soccer Shop in 2000 to focus on his coaching career and family.

Wembley Soccer Academy started in May 1992 to provide individual soccer training opportunities for all players that have chosen to develop their soccer ability. Wembley Soccer Academy has evolved into providing team, small group and coach development opportunities. ​Wembley Soccer Academy has continued to provided training experiences in Cannon Beach OR from 1994 - present.
